* Battle of Wise's Forks (Kinston) March 7-10, 1865.

 

* Sherman's Occupation of Fayetteville. Includes touring the grounds of the former Confederate Arsenal and the museum.  We will also walk the streets of Fayetteville discussing the sharp engagement between Lt. Gen. Wade Hampton and the lead elements of Sherman's army.  The tour concludes with a guided tour of the wonderfully preserved Confederate defenses along the Cape Fear River.
